Named after Hawthorne Gardens, the apartment building in which the baby version of me spent his early years. My folks poured their hearts and countless hours into making the small apartment a warm and wood-paneled place to call home.
Every home they've touched since has been made into their own, and this piece came from my desire to make a mason jar lamp that my dear mother would love (she doesn't quite like the rope mason lamp : )).
A Ball mason jar encases the included 30 watt filament bulb, putting out a warm light that complements the gorgeous grain of the hand-cut walnut base. The porcelain socket and 8 foot gold cord with an inline switch keep the piece minimal and eager to fit into a variety of decors. The lamp stands about 8" tall, 6" wide, and 4" from front to back as shown in the first picture.
